Our Independence
ZeroGravityWorkStations.com is independently operated. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any workstation manufacturer. No manufacturer has editorial input or review over our content. No manufacturer pays for placement or higher scores.
We may earn affiliate commissions or referral fees when you purchase through certain links on our site. When a link is an affiliate link, we disclose it. Our editorial evaluations and scores are not influenced by these relationships. We evaluate products for which we earn no commission with the same methodology as products we monetize.
Three Layers of Evaluation
Every workstation in our database is evaluated across three layers. Each layer has different evidence standards, and we are transparent about what is factual, what is assessed, and what is opinion.
Layer 1: Verified Specifications
These are objective, factual data points: price, recline range, weight capacity, footprint dimensions, motor count, monitor capacity, warranty, country of manufacture, and more. Every specification is sourced from the manufacturer's official website, product documentation, or direct communication with the manufacturer.
Each specification includes a “last verified” date. We verify pricing quarterly (January, April, July, October). If a specification cannot be verified, we mark it as unverified rather than guessing.
Layer 2: Editorial Assessments
These are our scored evaluations across eight dimensions: ergonomic range, typing quality in recline, monitor stability, entry/exit accessibility, build quality, noise level, aesthetic integration, and customer support. Each dimension is scored 1–5 with a written rationale.
How scores are determined: We assess each dimension based on published specifications, available user testimonials and reviews (from manufacturer sites, Amazon, Reddit, specialty forums, and editorial publications), ergonomic principles, and comparative analysis against other products in the category.
What scores are NOT based on: We have not hands-on tested every product in our database. Where our evaluation is based on specifications and secondary sources rather than direct testing, we note this in the rationale. We do not fabricate testing claims.
Scores are relative to the zero gravity workstation category — a score of 3 means average for this product type, not average for all furniture.
Layer 3: Use-Case Fit Ratings
We rate each workstation's suitability for specific buyer scenarios: chronic back pain, disability accommodation, extended knowledge work, gaming, small spaces, and budget optimization. Each receives a rating of Strong Fit, Moderate Fit, or Limited Fit.
These ratings combine Layer 1 specifications, Layer 2 assessments, and available user feedback from people matching that use case.

What Qualifies Us
We are researchers, not doctors. We are buyers' advocates, not manufacturers. What qualifies us is the depth and rigor of our research process — not clinical credentials or industry relationships. We have reviewed every major manufacturer's product line, aggregated user feedback from multiple platforms, cross-referenced specifications, and built a structured evaluation framework that treats every brand equally.
If we get something wrong, we want to know. Contact us and we will verify and correct.
